The guide / about
A field guide written by someone who kept getting lost.
Dreadmoor Field Guide is an independent fan resource for Dream Dock's flooded fishing RPG. It is built around the playable demo, the official Steam page and the game's own data, with a bias toward information you can act on.
What this is
Not a wiki farm. A working notebook.
The site exists because Dreadmoor's demo is full of small, specific questions: which bait a Softgrazer wants, where the Dry Dock fuse box is, why the gate will not open, and what a Torn Page actually does. Those answers should be easy to find without scrubbing a video or decoding a spreadsheet.
We cover the demo thoroughly and keep the Early Access pages tied to confirmed information. The goal is not to publish every possible page about the game. It is to make the pages that exist accurate, readable and connected to each other.
How the data is checked
Fish levels, size classes, stamina, tension, bait shares, habitat counts, prices, upgrade costs and recipe lists come from the October 2026 demo build (26140998) and its in-game data. Release dates, prices, platforms and system requirements come from the official Steam page, Dream Dock announcements and publisher materials.
Where a value is an estimate or a planning aid, we label it. Where the demo data is incomplete or locked, we say so instead of filling the gap with a guess. A demo value is not a promise about the Early Access build.
Sources we cross-check
- Dreadmoor on Steam — release date, price, features, languages and system requirements.
- Dream Dock — developer announcements and game description.
- IGN preview — hands-on context for the fishing loop and world.
- GameWatcher — release and platform reporting.
- Checkpoint Gaming preview — combat and exploration impressions.
Independence and credits
This is an unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with Dream Dock or Digital Vortex Entertainment. Dreadmoor, its characters, screenshots and game assets belong to their respective owners.
Photography on the site comes from the official Dreadmoor Steam page and is used for commentary and reference. Fish and bait renders are taken from the demo build's assets. If a rights holder wants an asset removed, the site owner can do so.
External links
Every external link on the site is marked rel="nofollow". We link to Steam, the official Dream Dock site, the Dreadmoor Discord, Reddit and primary sources because they are useful, not because we are paid to. There are no sponsored placements or affiliate links on the site.
Updates
The guide is updated when the game changes or a confirmed announcement lands. The date at the bottom of each major page reflects the last editorial pass. If Early Access changes a value, the page should change with it.
